A very popular vintage style of cake, you will learn the following techniques in this class:
sugar flowers - a large unwired rose and different styles of blossoms
letter cutters - how to use successfully
colouring - using paste, powder and paint colours
decoration - make edible lace and a brooch
cake covering - sugarpaste the cake for a smooth finish and using tools to texture the sugarpaste
piping - pipe small pearls and flower centres
You will be provided with a freshly-baked cake, ready to decorate in your choice of the following flavours:
vanilla sponge with vanilla buttercream and raspberry jam
lemon sponge with white chocolate buttercream
chocolate fudge cake with chocolate buttercream
red velvet cake with vanilla buttercream
